TERMS OF SERVICE


Operational Standards for Use of NSFA Platforms

EXECUTIVE AUTHORITY

These Terms establish the governing conditions for access to and use of NSFA platforms. Compliance is mandatory for all users and members.

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

  • National professional association
  • Not a healthcare or legal provider
  • No professional relationship created

USER OBLIGATIONS

Users and members agree to:
  • Use NSFA platforms lawfully and respectfully
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
  • Refrain from harassment, threats, discrimination, or illegal activity
  • Avoid impersonation or misrepresentation
  • Respect protected community boundaries

You are solely responsible for content you submit or share.

COMMUNITY & CONTENT STANDARDS

Protected Health Information (PHI)
NSFA does not request, require, or permit the disclosure of protected health information (PHI) about yourself or any other individual within its platforms, including forums, messages, or comments.

Users are solely responsible for any information they choose to disclose. Any disclosure of PHI is made voluntarily and at the user’s own risk.

NSFA reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove content that appears to contain PHI or other sensitive personal information to protect members and the organization.

NSFA reserves the right to:

  • Moderate content
  • Remove or restrict posts
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Enforce community standards

NSFA does not endorse user-generated content and is not responsible for statements made by members.

MEMBERSHIP & PAYMENTS

NSFA services are intended for adults

By using NSFA platforms, you represent that you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Are legally capable of entering into binding agreements
  • Will provide accurate and truthful information
  • Membership tiers, benefits, pricing, and access levels are defined at the time of enrollment.
  • NSFA may modify membership offerings as the organization evolves.
  • Payments are processed through third-party providers. NSFA does not store full payment credentials.
  • Refunds, if any, are governed by NSFA policies.
NSFA reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access at its discretion to protect the mission, members, or organization.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  • NSFA ownership of content, branding, materials
  • Prohibited actions:
  • Copy
  • Distribute
  • Modify
  • Commercialize
  • Written authorization requirement

LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NSFA, its officers, directors, volunteers, affiliates, and administrators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of NSFA services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NSFA from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Limitation of liability clause
  • Use at own risk
  • Indemnification triggers:
  • Use of services
  • Submitted content
  • Violation of Terms

Use of NSFA platforms is at your own risk.

TERMINATION & GOVERNING LAW

NSFA may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, to protect the mission, members, or organization.

Termination does not relieve obligations under these Terms.

NSFA employs reasonable safeguards to protect platforms and data.

However:

  • Continuous availability is not guaranteed
  • Systems may be modified, suspended, or discontinued

NSFA is not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or third-party platform failures.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of NSFA’s registration, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

NSFA reserves the right to update these Terms as necessary to protect the mission, organization, and members.
Continued use of NSFA services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
